JANUARY 2010 SQUID MAN BATTLES WINTER AND THE RESTLESS DEAD The Squid Man team faced off against snowstorms, icy roads and a hotel full of creepy poltergeists for an awesomely successful week of pre-production in the Pittsburgh region earlier this month. We auditioned over 100 of the best actors in the area, and scouted out numerous locations in Pittsburgh and in central West Virginia (including a nighttime scout of the haunted and historic Elk Hotel in downtown Sutton, WV.) A huge thanks to the key Squid Man team (Charlie, Beth and Richie) and our families, plus all the folks who helped us out with scouting and auditions, especially Chris Smalley from Pittsburgh Filmmakers, Kevin Carpenter (owner of the Elk Hotel and a Storynaut Founding Executive Producer), Linda Weaver and her team from LeModeln Agency, Alison Evans, Amanda Rotzler, and Alice Gordon-Hardy. Squid Man is set to begin principal photography in Pittsburgh on May 25.
